Conflicts between Congress and the President over war powers have their origin in the US Constitution. In 1973 Congress passes the War Powers Resolution in an attempt to clarify the balance of powers between the two branches.
nA) describe the primary constitutional conflict between Congress and the president over the decision to go to war.
nB) describe two provisions of the war powers resolution;
nc) the War Powers Resolutions has received mixed reviews, but Congress has other powers over war making. Other than constitutional power that you described in –identify and explain two other formal powers Congress has over war making.

Meeting Tuesday 9-11 in Library Jan 8, 2007

We are meeting in the library for our orientation/work meeting #1.
Please be prompt.
We will meet in a classroom from 3-5 for our other meetings. This time should hopefully
accommodate work schedules. As previously stated, we will complete several additional chapters
and prepare/practice for the AP test.
